Autel IM608 Update Chrysler Proximity till 2023

 Autel MaxiIM IM508/IM608 released Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep read password / key learning update today.

1. Adds functions including Read Immobilizer Password, and Key Learning for the following smart key-equipped models of 2022-2023: Challenger, Charger, Ram, Ram Truck, Ram 1500
DT, Ram 2500/3500, and Ram 4500/5500.
2. Adds IMMO functions for the following models in South America: ProMaster Van (2013-2023), Ram 4000 (2009-2022), Ram C/V Tradesman (2012-2015), Ram SRT-10 (2004-2006), Ram V1000 (2014-2023), and Ram V700 Express (2014-2020).
3. Optimizes Read Immobilizer Data function, Remove Disabled Keys function. Emergency Start (All Keys Lost) function and guided functions for the following models: Forza
(2013-2016), ProMaster Rapid (2014-2023), Ram 700 (2014-2020), Ram V700 Express (2014-2020), Ram V700 Rapid (2014-2023), and Vision (2015-2018).
4. Optimizes RFH replacement function for second-hand RFH for Challenger, Charge, Journey, Ram, Ram 2500/3500, Ram 4500/5500, and Ram Truck.

Autel IM508 Failed to Backup 2022 Toyota 4Runer IMMO Data?

 One of the obdii365.com customers reported that he failed to program a 2022 Toyota 4Runner US proximity and ran into this problem on the Autel IM508.

Error: The current smart main ECU software version number is Not Supported?

Solution:

Confirmed by Autel engineer. Autel won’t backup immo data for this software version as it said the ECU software number is not supported.

Autel won’t do it on some of the new ones you’ll have to get a in and out code from a third party and do all keys lost then do add a key.

Get code send to a vendor or nastaf for outcode. Reset box, add key. Will need to send off code again for the outcode. Program key.

Same as SmartPro, it will also ask to input the data through NASTF.

Can Autel IM508 Program 2022- Ford F250 F350 Key?

 Question:

Are there any issues with doing newer Push to Start Fords, 2022- F150 F250 F350 with Autel IM508?

Answer:

Looking at the key slot on the door, if its vertical its hu101, if its horizontal its the newer hu198 key and will require dealer tool (NASTF+FDRS).

F150: All new fords from 21 f150 require dealer tool. You can still do the f250, 350,450etc and some of the explorer.

 

F250, F350: People have done some 2023 f250’s it’s rare you run across one with the new system.

Program Volvo XC90 2010 All Keys Lost by Autel IM608

 Program 2010 Volvo XC90 blade key all keys lost successfully using Autel IM608/IM508.

Had to do some surgery on it just to pull the PIN code required to program new keys.

Read CEM Security Data: Remove the CEM module, use the programmer to read and obtain the CEM security data.

Read UEM Mirror Security Data (MC9S12DG128): Remove the UEM module, use the programmer to read and obtain the UEM security data.

Then pull the PIN code, program new key.

In sum:

OTOFIX is a sub-line product of Autel. Otofix IM2 is a cheaper alternative to IM608 Pro II. They have the same function. 

The major difference will be

1.IM2 has 2 years of free update in default. IM608 II just 1 year.

2. IM608 II has built-in CAN FD and DoIP protocol. IM2 need an optional adapter.

3. Software subscription for IM2 is cheaper than IM608 II.
