If you wish to fit a VAG EDC17 replacement ecu for any reason or program all keys lost you will need the pincode of the new one and the old one. With these codes you can match the immobiliser to the new ecu. Here we will show how to read VW EDC17 Security Pin Code with Autel IM508.
Take EDC17CP14 ECU as an example.
Connect EDC17 ECU with Autel IM508 via Gbox or 3rd party EDC17 adapter from ebay/aliexpress.
Read VIN and select model, here it’s Europe Golf 2009-2014
Select Control Unit->Engine->Bosch EDC17 Engine-> Read IMMO data in direct mode.
This ECU is read in direct mode. Make sure you have set up the connection. Then press Read to read IMMO data.
