Autel Toyota Smart Key Proximity Function Not Working Solution

 Problem:

After programming a Proximity key to a 2020 Lexus rx350, the Autel Toyota ikey remote buttons and emergency start work but Proximity key function does not.

Currently the remote light flashes when you press start button, just no Prox function. Updating the key didn’t work after learning the autel universal. The original key Prox works fine after resetting smart box and learning all keys back.

 

Solution:

There is an ecu synchronization procedure to perform to rectify this issue.

Do an ECU synchronization learning.

Make sure you generated the right fob before programming.

In Autel IM508 or IM608, do System Selection- Keyless System- Keyless System (CAN)- ECU synchronization learning.

Turn the ignition on.

Select the Synchronize ID authentication box and steering lock.

Make sure ignition is ON and Start button is OFF.
Put a learned smart key close to the START button.

When learning is completed,a buzzing sound can be heard.

Learning succeeded.

Test the remote. Now the Autel Toyota smart key works.
