Autel IM608 Calculate MB W211 Password with MB Testing Tool

Connect mb testing tool with im608’s j2534 passthru vci via old cable

Turn on power and Test EIS ESL button and on the mb testing tool

The green indicator on the j2534 vci will turn on

In im608 select IMMO function ->Mercedes-benz-> Expert Selection -Get password->All keys lost (fast)

Select on bench (g-box fast) and continue

Turn on g-box mode 2 and on bench buttons on the mb testing tool

Select w211

Im608 gives instruction to read password via box and apb112 emulator, press BEGIN to continue

Step 1: check device, obd cable and obd connector connection

Step 2: Insert the IR key simulator to the programmer (here we insert IR emulator into EIS)

Step 3: Insert IR emulator into EIS. If already inserted, remove and insert it again

Step 4: Getting password in progress

Turn off g-box2 mode on mb testing tool

Insert new key into EIS, turn on ignition and then off

Remove and insert key tun on ignition again

Successfully calculate password

The MB testing platform can be used to test ESL status, test gearbox, gateway and ECU on bench as well.

Autel IM608 added a key successfully today on a 2007 Audi RS4 (ignition key with start button and a 2015 Audi A6 add key (smart key).

 

The RS4 wouldn’t add new key via ignition switch directly

Had to backup vehicle data (via OBD still), make dealer key, add key via ignition wouldn’t work, so key was added through xp400pro going through add key function (original key in ignition, new key remains in xp400).

Remote then added through remote system

Keyless go works.

Had similar problem on 2006 touareg auto vin said it was kessy 433 but I had to do it through smart mode it was not kessy and it was 315.

 

Seems that older VAG cars the automatically add key won't work, did a Skoda and VW caddy the other day, same problem, needed to read immo data, make dealer key, and adding via XP400.

Renew Benz W203 ECU CR3.xx with IM508 XP400

 Autel MaxiIM IM508 (with XP400) and IM608 is capable of renewing Mercedes ECU/ISM CR3.xx, CR4.xx CR5.xx, CR6.xx, CR60.xx, CRD.11, CRD2.xx, ME9.7, MED17.7.x, SIM4LE, SIM4LKE, SIM266 etc. This function can be completed only on bench. Autel im508 will ask you if Gbox is used. Here we don’t use Gbox, press NO and continue

Enter 16-digit special key password. If you read the key pass before, im508 will auto fill it.

Press OK to obtain erase password

Network connection is required to calculate password for renewing engine ECU

Autel IM608 Program Jetta 2017 AKL via OBD

 Autel MaxiIM IM508 (XP400)/IM608 released MQB Megamos AES key and blade key all keys lost programming via OBD.  All keys lost fee: $30 per vehicle. Here’s the demo guide on Jetta 2017 MQB OBD key programming using IM608. It’s hard to believe because we used to have to take cluster out but not with this programmer.

 

 

After connect im608 with vehicle, you turn on device

Select IMMO->Volkswagen->Advanced Mode->IMMO4+MQB Key->All keys lost

Autel IM608 will as the functions is available on pay-per-use basis. Im608 will take you to screen to pay by credit card. Once you do it once it saves info.  The first time you use it you put your credit card in and it saves it. I figured that out later cause it automatically takes it out when it asks you have to pay and you hit yes.

Turn on hazard warning flasher.
The car is with kessy, push down the Start/Stop button

Read IMMO data wait it processes to 100%

Read IMMO data success. Calculation completed

*If you cannot read IMMO data on this model or other MQB models,  make sure hazerd lights on and turn headlights on and off to wake up the car. If that don’t work try unplugging the battery and then plugging it back to reset security system.

Start making dealer key

Put a blank key in the Autel XP400 programmer keyhole and then press OK
Choose do you want to lock key.

The key cannot be unlocked after it is locked.
Unlocked keys may not able to learn the vehicle.

Make dealer key success

You can choose to generate next key or not. If yes, put a blank key in the programmer keyhole and follow IM608 prompts to complete key generation. If NO, jump to the last step.

Perform last step key adaption to vehicle

Confirm car has kessy and input number of keys that need to be learned

Place the key on the vehicle induction coil, wait for 2s and then press OK

Key learning completed

The key can start vehicle, the remote control is working as well.

Will Autel APB112 Emulator Work with XP200?

 Question:

So if I already have a IM508 with XP200 and I only obtained the APB112 Smart Key Emulator thing for the time being . Am I able to do All keys lost on Toyotas with Smart /Proximity keys or not? Do I still have to also buy the XP400 in order to do this on any Toyota or other Asian makes? I couldn’t see in this video if an XP400 had to be used.

 

Solution:

APB112 is compatible with IM508 (with XP200), IM608 (XP400),  IM608 Pro (XP400 Pro) and the older Auro Otosys IM100 and IM600.

But in the near future there will be some vehicles that need both the xp400 and apb112 to execute the key coding procedure.

It depends where you are getting the existing key data from. If you are pulling it OBD then the emulator should plug into the IM508/IM608 unit. If you are eeproming, you will need the xp400 or xp400pro to read the chip as well.

      4. In order to decode the chip, please place the smart key simulator close to the ignition coil for data collection. After decoding, the original car chip data can be copied;

How to Solve Autel IM608 IM508 Device Locked?

 Problem 1:

My Autel MaxiIM IM608 was locked after programming the key on hyundai sonata. I just programmed a key on a car brought from the USA. I didn't do anything else. 5 minutes after the programming, it turned off itself and since then it doesn't turn on and issues this error.

"The device has been locked since an illegal operation has been detected"

 

Problem 2: 

Happened to me after updating OS

 

Reason:

Autel tools are geo-locked. You must buy from a local distributor or your tool will be locked.

If you purchase Autel from other agent and your Autel is locked, go to Autel support or contact your dealer to contact factory to unlock your device.

If the tool is in a different region, you may need to pay to get it unlocked.

 

 

Our Autel IM508 cannot be delivered to UK, Spanish and Portuguese. Other regions have no IP limitation. Won't be locked. 

Autel IM608 has no IP limitation. Won't be locked. 

Both can be delivered from EU, US, China warehouses.
