Can Autel IM608 Clone PSA BSI Module?

 Can we clone PSA Peugeot/Citroen BSI (Built-in Systems Interface) with Autel MaxiIM IM608?

There is a clone option in the tool for BSI. Make sure the battery good and remove the wiper fuse.

Select car, manually select module - Clone BSI.

IM608 Citrone Peugeot software version V3.10 adds BSI clone function for the following 8 types:
CONTINENTAL_BSI_Q0X,  JC_BSI04EV_K0X, JC_BSI04EV2_KEX, JC_BSI2004_H0X, VALEO_BSI_N0X,
VALEO_BSI2004_P0X, VALEO_BSIEV_X0X, and SIEMENS_BSI_S0X

On the PSA vehicles, the Autel IM608 has a very good range of day to day live data and functionality such as injector coding, full dpf activation and resetting etc. Nothing really more than any tool. 2 things it does offer that are different

1- Key coding. We have done dozens and it's brilliant, it literally just clicks and follow the instructions. Will do from around 2001 until present day.

2- BSI coding/replacement. As said above, make sure have good battery supply and network connection. Otherwise programming fails and car is dead.

We had a customer who had one bsi Jc controller that was dead after having programmed it with im608. Programing went to 98% then the car was dead after that.

We would recommend you swap flash and eeprom is safer than clone it over obd.

If you have eeprom in bsi it is easy just clone it, but if you have NEC mcu, you will be more difficult you must search for pinout of NEC reference on Autel and swap it.

AUtel IM608 XP400 BMW FRM3 Chip is Locked Solution

 Problem:

Hi to all. How I can sort BMW FRM3 module with autel im608 xp400? It is a BMW E90. Thanks for any help.

Error: Chip is locked and cannot be read. For write, erase unlock first. 

Solution:

IM408 will read Dflash under Programmer option, you should first write partition.

you can also read dflash with vvdi prog or xprog, orange 5 or UPA.
When you read dflash you need to upload here to extract eeprom. https://tlvps.tomvanleeuwen.nl/frm/ then write back eeprom to frm partition.

Autel IM608 Cannot Update Keeps on Renew Screen Solution

 I couldn't update my Autel IM608.  I hit the renew button and it jumped to the renew screen. Update function been like this for an hour now? Server problems? Have fine Wi-Fi connections! Any suggestions?

Solution:

This started happening after the last system update.

Update: working now, after a restart and Wi-Fi on/off

After the tablet reset, it now works.

For those who have the same problem. Force close the device and start again. All good.

AUtel IM508 Program Toyota CHR 2020 All Keys Lost Success

As titled, looking for a programmer to do Toyota CHR 2020 Proximity All Keys Lost, what till do, Will XHORSE with Toyota 8A AKL Adapter can do it ? can it be done via OBD?

 

8A AKL harness is for blade key, not proximity.

USA model:

Toyota new IMMO software V3.80 adds Add Key and Erase Key functions for models including C-HR EV, Harrier HV, Highlander HV/Kluger HV, Izoa EV, RAV4 PHV, Sienna HV, Wildlander, Wildlander HV, Wildlander PHV, Yaris Cross and Yaris Cross HV.

All keys lost is not yet available on US model, only add key.

2018+ AKL you need to obtain code and program by Autel.

adapter APB122 required to learn keys in all keys lost situation.

immo box module is behind glovebox.  Inside this smartbox you will not find EEPROM.  Inside is Secured / Crypted MCU.
EU model must be done on bench, cannot do it through OBD with Autel.

First collect immo data on bench, then put immo module back into car and use back up immo to make virtual key, then add your key. Done

Autel IM608 Fiat Punto 2009 ID46 key generation failed?

 Car model / Year / chip: Fiat Punto – 2009 with ID46 chip

 

Purpose: Program a key with Autel MaxiIM IM608

 

Problem:

I can read the eeprom data and save it.
When i connect the programmer and try to make a dealer key i get the message: The key generation failed, please check if the chip type is correct.

 

What I tried:

[Fiat --> Manual selection --> Europe --> Tipo --> 2018-2020 Blade key --> Control unit --> Read Immobilizer Password(CAN)]

 

Then:

[Fiat --> Manual selection --> Europe --> Tipo --> 2018-2020 Blade key --> Control unit --> Immobilizer(7010563_Megamos AES)]

 

Autel engineer replied:

The key may be locked, please use a blank 46 key to make dealer key.

Autel IM508 IM608 No Space Memory Solution

 Is the internal storage for the Autel IM508 not capable of storing everything? It says insufficient space of internal memory.

I use this device for only key programming and some diag… no other files on device. Not even screen shots.

Is there something I can do to release space?

Some cache I might need to clear to prevent need for SD card?

Solution:

Just buy a 32 GB SD card. They are inexpensive and double the storage space of the IM508/IM608.

You can back up the IM508 to a USB card like other Autel tablets.

If you don't want to back up, just delete everything and reinstall just in your market. If you’re in the USA don’t download anything outside the USA.

Autel IM508 Cannot Add Key 2021 Cadillac Escalade?

 Problem:

Hooked up autel im508 on a 2021 Cadillac Escalade. Need to add a new key but im508 cannot communicate with this model.

Solution:

Autel vehicle coverage stops at 2020 for this model Cadillac. It can do some GM’s but it would have required a CANFD adapter no matter what, but no 2021 full size suv and trucks yet. Maybe they will update to 2021 later.

What tool will do?
