 How to read BMW 1 series E87 EDC17C06 engine ECU 32-bit long ISN code with Autel IM508 XP400 Pro and Gbox3?

using Bench power supply

Procedure:

Remove and disassemble engine ECU.

In IM508 go to System Selection-Engine- Direct- Boot- E chassis- Bosch-TC1766 EDC17C06.

Check wiring diagram and instructions.

Connect ECU with gbox and xp400 pro following the diagram in boot.

Read ISN.

Read ISN successfully.

How to Connect Mercedes TCM with Autel IM608?

 Problem:

I want to swap mercedes w204 tcm (mercedes w204 is the C class series from 2008 till 2014). The Autel IM608 shows only this drawing. My question is, does this connect to the gbox or the j2534 or same, or both?
I tried connecting the cables from the tcm to the gbox, powered it by the 12 V adapter, and then the gbox to the J2534, and the j2534 through the cable to the tablet.
In fact I didn’t have Resistors at that time other than the ones came with the gbox (900 ohms).
Another thing, the yellow cable as per the drawing is CAN-L, but as per the tag on the cable and the Gbox it is CAN-H (the green is CAN-L as well). So need to know which one to connect to PIN-2 on the transmission (CAN-H or CAN-L). Anyway, I used both ways, once the yellow one then swaped with the green.
As a result, I was not able to communicate with the tcm. Anyone can suggest what was the problem? Is it only that I don’t have the proper resistor? Or the connections? Etc…
Another thing, I need correction if my understanding of the process is wrong. The steps will be:
1. Read old tcm, on bench
2. Virginize the donor tcm, on bench
3. Write data to donor tcm, on bench
4. Write vin to donor tcm, on bench or on car?
5. Coding of the new tcm to the ezs, on vehicle

Solution:

Don’t need gbox2. It is the description and meaning of the wires that matters not wire colors!!! And you need that 120R resistor. This procedure is as simple as that wiring diagram.

Job very easy, people make it so hard,use direct connection to tcm from obd,120ohm required then you are ready to go.

Or do it this way.

Did not use gbox. I used vci hooked with usb, godiag bench connecter connected with 12v with 120ohm switch. Hook can hi, can low, power and ground.

godiag bench connector has everything you need. The godiag also has the correct round pins for easy attachment the Tcu connector.

How to Add Toyota Corolla 2019-2021 4A Proximity by Autel IM608?

 Autel MaxiIM IM508 and IM608 released Toyota 2019-2021 proximity smart key programming without PIN nor NASTF.

Turn on ignition switch
Turn ignition off and turn hazard light on
Press Yes to continue
Confirm you have backuped eeprom file from this vehicle

Choose your backup EEPROM data file

Touching working key on push start button if will hear 1 beep

Touching new key on push start button if will hear 2 beeps

Keep touching new smart remote on ignition button until finish
Turn on ignition switch

Read Audi BCM2 Encrypted IMMO Data with Autel IM508 IM608

 Autel MaxiIM IM508/IM608/IM608 Pro released Audi BCM2 encrypted immo data reading function in Dec, 2021.

Here is a demo guide on reading BCM2 encrypted with IM508+XP400 Pro.  It is possible with normal xp400 because they both have APC101 adapter. If you check the pinout the gbox only providing the power + can lines thus the old one could be suitable too.

Go to IMMO- Audi- Expert Selection- IMMO V- A4/A5/Q5- Read IMMO Data via Programmer (encrypted)

Perform this function will erase all keys and add keys for Audi A4, A5 and Q5 2013 onwards.

Connect im508, xp400pro, gbox2 and external power supply with bcm2 follow the diagram

On the “VVP2” and on the “RESET” wires you need to use diodes (120 ohm)

Select Step 1 identify vehicle information

Select Step 2 Read Immo data
Connecting programmer

Reading data
Read data success, auto save to default folder

Calculating

Data will be written, it is strictly forbidden to move the module during the execution

writing data, it takes about 3-5 mins

Function completed. Reset the module, install it to the vehicle and check vehicle condition.
