How to Calculate VAG MQB AKL Sync Data with Autel?

 Good news!  Autel MaxiIM IM508/IM608 (also OTOFIX IM1/IM2) now has an integrated mqb2 calculator.  There is now a MQB sync Data calculator built into to immo software. You don’t need to obtain sync data from 3rd party if program all keys lost.

 

You will need XP400 Pro (XP1 Pro for OTOFIX) to calculate sync data.

 

We need CS from each cluster, ecu, gearbox (if automatic ),  kessy (if keyless )

Instrument panel CS code 16 bytes
ECM 16 bytes CS code
Tcu 16 bytes CS code
ESCL (Electonic Steering Column Lock) ELV 16 bytes CS (if present)

Then you will get sync data for free.

To program VAG MQB NEC35XX or RH850/V850 key, you will need APB131 adapter.

OTOFIX IM2 Adds Dodge RAM Promaster 2020 Key

 How to program keys to a Dodge RAM Promaster 2020 using OTOFIX IM2 key programmer.

This is a 2020 van and the other vans are very similar.

 

 

Preconditions:
Key on
Hazards on
Have all the keys you intended to work for the van, make sure they are cut
Battery charged
10mm socket and ratchet

Beginning in 2002 they have a secure gateway, you need bypass cable

 

Go to IM2, IMMO function->Auto Detect

Press OK to confirm vehicle information

Go to Control Unit->Read Immobilizer Password

Switch the ignition OFF and then ON again

Read password success

Then read Select Immobilizer/Smart system->Immobilizer (BCM)->Key learning

Read Immobilizer Data

Save Immo data

Select Make dealer key

The dealer key generation succeeded.

Select Key Learning

Learn key succeeded by OTOFIX IM2.

Test the new key.

OTOFIX is a sub-line product of Autel. Otofix IM2 is a cheaper alternative to IM608 Pro II. They have the same function. 

The major difference will be

1.IM2 has 2 years of free update in default. IM608 II just 1 year.

2. IM608 II has built-in CAN FD and DoIP protocol. IM2 need an optional adapter.

3. Software subscription for IM2 is cheaper than IM608 II.
