2021 ford f-150 can’t be done by obd without take the BCM. Or easy with FDRS ($30 and no nastf required).

2025 Nissan Kicks smart key WITHOUT Consult4!
First try: IM608+ 40 PIN Cable + APB131 adapter.
When I first came to the vehicle I extracted the pin code within the HFM via eeprom, but I didn’t realize that there is no OBD communication even with the Nissan 40 bypass cable and so was not able to program the extra remote.
This time I came more prepared, I had wiring diagrams of the body control module to pinpoint where the CAN pins are. I realized this vehicle has both Can and CanFD pins and probed both pairs separately.
When hope began to run dry success struck!
The combination that worked was probing the low speed canH and canL while also having the Autel CANFD adapter connected AND going through 2024+ Pathfinder.
So, extract PIN via eeprom, and then connect the Autel's CANFD adapter's CAN H+L pins directly to the vehicles CAN H+L lines, instead of thru the OBD (used a chrysler bypass cable for the CAN probes, bypassing firewalls), and attempt process selecting Pathfinder 24.
It has also been verified that consult3+ does NOT connect to the vehicle or pull the vin number.

It’s a 2023 Nissan Rogue with new style smart key. The owner has one key but he want to get a second one added. Tried to add key with Autel IM608 and 40 pin bypass cable from OBDSTAR but it still asks for the 28 digit pin code. Have the 40 pin cable wired to the BCM and it’s connected to the OBD. How to obtain this PIN or bypass it?
Here is the clue.
Autel usually will bypass the 28-digit pin code for these models if you hook up the Nissan 40 PIN cable.
You got to do add key guided so it’ll read the PIN.
Try going back to the beginning and doing your steps like this.

If Autel still asks for pin code, this model properly had a security update at the Dealer.
Some rogue models have had a security update done at Dealer. There is a bulletin out about a Nissan security update that the dealer does and can’t be done.
“Some 2023-2024 Infiniti/Nissan have experienced a security update. If you can analyze the key but it failed to read the data during the next step, that implies the vehicle has experienced a manufacturer’s security update that requires the Dealer tool for programming.”
Smart pro is good on these. People have done them with Smart pro.
But sometimes Smartpro fails, Autel works (see example).
If Autel and Smart Pro all fail, try
1). Remove HFM Module and read pin code from dump.
HFM module needs to be removed and you need to use APB131 to eeprom it and get password. Rogue above 2022 cannot do simply with 40 pin cable. You need eeprom and cable after 2022. HFM is located above glove box behind plastic trim. Remove and you will see it.

OBDSTAR will also read pin code from HFM dump with the RH850 adapter (see example).
2). Program key with Consult 3+ R2R by OBD.
2023 rogue is listed and has immo functions on consult 3+ r2r.
The Topdon rlink is listed as a compatible device on their website.
Consult 3 r2r doesn’t have immo functions unless it’s patched.
The immo function is blocked on consult 3+ r2r and you need use a patch to make it available. You have to pay for 1 day subscription download latest then patch.
It sucks because only a few models actually need Consult, and now they’re switching over to Consult 4—which doesn’t list Topdon as compatible.
2024+ rogue need consult C4.
In this article, we will walk through the process of adding a new key to a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan (MQB platform). The original key was ordered but had not yet arrived, so the technician decided to extract the necessary data from the instrument cluster to program a new key. Additionally, the customer requested an extra non-original (Chinese) key as a backup.
The first step involved removing the instrument cluster (dashboard panel). Here’s how it was done:
Disassembly – The panel is held in place by clips and two Torx screws. Carefully removed the clips and unscrewed the panel.
Opening the Cluster – Once removed, the cluster was opened to access the internal components. Inside, a TMS70F35 chip was identified, which stores key-related data.
Cluster number: 5NA.920.891.C
Processor: D70F3539
Step 2: Extracting Key Data
To program a new key, we need to read the immobilizer data from cluster. This involved:
Soldering Connections – Solder wires to the instrument cluster’s circuit board to establish a connection for data extraction.
Reading the Data – Using Autel IM608 and APB131 adapter, the immobilizer data was read. This process took approximately 15 minutes.
Step 3: Programming the New Key
Once the data was extracted, the next step was programming:
Original Key Preparation – The original key (when it arrived) would be programmed using the extracted data.
Adding a Chinese Key (here use Xhorse XM38) – The customer requested an additional non-original key. The technician prepared it as a “dealer key” and programmed it into the system.
Key Calibration Process
The car’s system recognized two existing keys.
The new (Chinese) key was successfully calibrated and tested.
Both the original and the new key worked, though the Chinese key lacked remote start functionality, which the customer deemed unnecessary.
Conclusion
The process of adding a key to a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan involves:
Removing and accessing the instrument cluster.
Extracting immobilizer data via soldering and software.
Programming new keys (original or aftermarket).
Final Notes
Original vs. Aftermarket Keys – Original keys offer full functionality, while aftermarket keys may lack features like remote start.
Problem:
Nissan Sentra 2025. HFM with 10193 CPU. Try to read pin code from dump with Autel IM608 and APB131 adapter, but failed.
Data read correctly, read 3 times, but reading pin failed.
What’s wrong?
To successfully read pin code form HFM dump, make sure:
1. Enable good network connection.
2. Update Autel Nissan software to latest version.
3. Double-check the wiring diagram and your connection.
4. Delete all file save. Restart device. Connect 12V adapter to XP400 pro. Read again. It will work. Try several times.
If done all above but still failed, use J2534 and Nissan consult online program 3 min done.
User feedback:
It was necessary to update Autel. After the update, the pin code was read and the key was programmed.
What tool to program 2019+ Nissan Juke F16 Key?
Proximity key:
If it is a push-to-start smart key, no problem using the BCM 40 adapter cable and Autel im508/im608.
You can’t program Juke 2023 by OBD you need direct connection on the BCM.
All Nissan models after 2021 need dealer access or direct connection on the BCM.
If connect 40 pin BCM cable, Autel still asks for pin code, use APB131 to read dump from HFM and pull pin from dump.
Similar procedure as Sentra B18.
Program Nissan Sentra 2021 All Keys Lost with Autel IM608 and APB131
Blade key:
If it is an ignition blade key, it is a no-go and asks for a PIN after generating an initial code.
For example: 2023 Juke F16 can’t program key, with the BCM 40 pin cable adapter connected, it still asks for a rolling code:
Smart key work fine but blade key we have problem with.
Stay away from 1.5d manual key with label in the glovebox if you don’t have proper tool.
Autel/Launch/OBDSTAR/Lonsdor will kill it via OBD (immo with label on the glove box).
Solution:
1. You get the pin code by third parties and it Enter to continue. There is a guide on facebook Ameer Hasan who provides this pin code.
2. If want to get the pin code with data saved by Autel, you will need to read pin from dump HFM using the APB131 adapter.
2021 Ford F150 Smart key (all keys lost) is done with Autel IM608 and Autel apb131 adapter.
Need to remove BCM and reading the D-flash with xp400 pro and apb131.
BCM location:
The BCM is located on the passenger side at footwell it’s not the easiest thing but it ain’t terrible take you about 15 minutes to get it out.
Where’s this option in Autel IM508/IM608?
Menu path:
Manual by vehicle->then go to Smart key learning->Read D-flash via programmer
You can see the wiring diagram. Reading the d flash not an easy task but if you have the soldering skills it’s very achievable.
Besides, for the one hot connection to that little bitty capacitor it’s actually very easy to solder up.

After reading d-flash data, just learn smart keys.
You can also do it with FDRS. It takes 5 minutes with FDRS. FDRS is like $900 / year.
If some failed on F-150 with active alarm using FDRS, you can try this way with apb131.
The new apb131 adapter is pretty sweet. It adds a whole bunch of support for Volkswagens without removing resistors from the cluster.

2024 Nissan Rogue All smart keys lost, smartpro no go, Autel IM608 and APB131 for the win.
Used 40 pin special gateway cable for Nissan on the Smart Pro and failed.
Some rogue models have had a security update done at Dealer. The model is 100 % supported by SmartPro but apparently, there is a bulletin out about a Nissan security update that the dealer does and can’t be done.

Nissan Sentra/Juke 2022 – Push Start. Connected with bypass cable to im608 and this message comes up asking for 28 digit code.
In this case, the car had a security update done at Dealer. Need to remove HFM module to read data and program key.
Autel did the job.
Tools Used: Autel IM608, APB131 adapter.
Need to remove HFM (Hands Free Module) and read pin from HFM dump.
No component removal only solder the board of HFM to read the data.
