Autel IM508 BMW EWS3 “Programmer Not Connected” Solution

 Problem:

I need to program EWS3 key with Autel IM508 and XP400 Pro. There is no way to do ews3. I have done everything but it tells me the same thing: programmer not connected (communication error). Any solution?

Solution:

Please do following. (need xp400pro)
1. Enter the BMW EWS3 path of the programmer to try to read and write;
2. Check whether the adapter board pins correspond to the EWS3 slots accurately;
3. Operate in strict accordance with the operating instructions.

Step 1: Connect the matching board and EWS3 module first.
Step 2: Connect the board and XP400 PRO.
Step 3: USB connect XP400 PRO and tablet.
Step 4: Connect the 12V power supply to the XP400 PRO; note that the power of the IM508 must be more than 30%.
Step 5: Open the menu and execute the read function.
Step 6: If the 12V is not connected, and the function is executed directly, the USB port will hang up and cannot be used. In this case.
Step 7. If still do not work with above step. try to connect the xp400pro to PC programmer and do the functions.

please restart the tablet, the USB port is enabled, and communication can be performed normally.

If still do not working with above steps. Try to connect the xp400pro to PC programmer and do the functions.

Autel IM508 Benz Failed to Clear OEM Key Solution

 Question:

I had a problem that I could not reformat/renew the Mercedes keys with Autel im508 xp400. Are there other ways besides this one?

Solution:

Aute can’t clear/renew original Mercedes key. OEM keys do not work. Only BE keys.

The type of this key can’t renew of this way, but you can use other way desolder nec chip put it on adapter read data chip and renew.

You must be able to reset Chinese v51 keys. Original keys can only be reset or programmed thru nec programer, i.e AK500.

That mean you must desolder nec chip from inside the key, put it in programmer that can program nec chip, and program key file. Can not be done thru ir by any programmer.

if you want to renew keys buy the xhorse vvdi mb tool with nec adapter or cgdi mb device (soldering job). Only keys with NEC inside could be renewed.

You can also use ak500 to rest the nec ic and write back file with vvdi mb.

Autel IM608 Read BMW CAS3+ ISTAP 32-Digit ISN

 Here comes the problem:

I am working on a BMW C6 CAS3++ ISTAP all keys lost. Program is asking for DME ISN and Autel is only reading 4-digit isn which I have read via OBD and got ISN code 86F5.

But Autel IM608 is asking for 32bit value for ISN.

Any idea how to convert this or it there another way to red ISN from engine ECU.

Solution:

BMW Explorer can calculate SK from short ISN. Autel cannot.  You can bench EDC17’s with Autel.

Some CAS+ uses short ISN (i.e X5 CAS3+).  CAS3+ istap isn is much longer.

That ECU is EDC17CP02. You can read ecu type by ecu number.

How to bench read CAS3++ istap 32-digit ISN by im608 (im508 xp400 pro)?

Go to IMMO- BMW- Engine- Direct

Then check Quick entrance

Identify ECU type by input 10 digits bosch ECU number

Select EDC17CP02 TC1766

Check the operation guide and wiring diagram

Bench it and follow prompts to read 32-digit ISN code.

2020 Mitsubishi Outlander All Keys Lost with Autel IM608

 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander. All keys lost to delete all proxy keys.

Solution 1:

Add OEM key back in then add a new OEM key via “Hot Function”

You will need your Autel IM608 XP400 programmer.

2-3 min job via OBDII once setup.

Will program key initially via the xp400 then you’ll remove key blade from proxy key, put in little holder at front of shift console between seats more near passenger side. This will complete process. Just follow prompts on tool.

Both remotes will show “Fully Locked” after programming. Once you see they’re locked they should work.

You can also scan key using the programmer (xp400) as well if you didn’t bring your key scan tool.

Solution 2:

Do manual selection and do outlander rvr, 2011+ and go thru the prompts. all keys lost with or without any working key. In and out in 10 minutes. Must have working Internet. Using im508 and xp400.

Autel IM508 XP400 Add 2018 Renault Clio 4 Key via OBD

 As we said before, Autel and Xtool are safe for Renault 2015 up smart key card programming. We have done a Renault Clio 4 2018 successfully today. Added a spare key with autel im508 and xp400.

Add 2021 Lincoln Navigator Smart Key by Autel IM508

 Hey guys, we have 2021 Lincoln Navigator to add an all-new smart key using aftermarket smart keys and Autel MaxiIM IM508 key programmer, it should be simple we’ll find out together, let’s do it.

 

Firstly, connect the OBD cable to the port underneath the driver’s side dash, once connected, navigate to the tablet home screen and select “System settings“.

Connect to a strong dependable WiFi signal, a mobile hotspot is recommended.

 

Once you finish, return to the home screen and select the IM508 APP, select “Immo“, accept the disclaimer, then select your make [Ford] is the one for Lincoln, then choose “Manual selection”, choose your make and model Lincoln and navigator, then the desired year and smart key.

Confirm your selections.

Then choose Hot function, then “Add smart key (guided)”.

Select “Start to begin” and no WiFi is a must during the process, and while it’s going on the instrument panel may appear black or off it’s not an issue.

Choose whether or not your vehicle is an alarm state.

Then wait at most 10 minutes to bypass the security system.

As you get to the finish, prepare the new key you are going to be programming.

Once it’s complete, confirm the number of keys in the system and continue.

Next you need to locate your vehicle’s key coil, the one for this navigator is located in the armrest box, enter your new key into the coil and then continue.

Once you hit OK the vehicle should learn the key once it’s learned, you can keep programming new remotes or if your key fails, you can repeat the process, your remote at this point should have all button functions as well as proximity function. test them all to make sure everything’s working.
