Will Autel IM608 Program used Mercedes 7G 722.9 Transmission?

Question:

Any ideas if Autel im608 can program Mercedes transmission 7G 722.9 a used transmission has been installed. The operation required two steps.
1-Reset the new (used) control module (make ECU virgin).
2-transfer the data from the old(original ECU) to the donor control unit.
My Question if Autel IM 608 can do this I would like to by one by not sure if it do it. Thanks for the help

Expert Advice & Suggestion:

IM608 will do the reset but will not transfer the VIN and SCN on a new TCM.
The Elite, MK908 and ultra have all the bmw/mercedes programming, im608 doesn't.
The mk908 will do it for sure, it has access to autels bmw/mercedes servers.


You’ll just transfer over the data and the coding. If not, you’ll have to renew the new one and then use the Elite to download the SCN coding.

In conclusion:
MK908P is focus on diagnostic features, IM608 is good on inmmobilizer functions. 
Both hardware have nearly the same configuration. 
IM608 enjoys 2 years free update. MK908P has 1 year free update only. 


2. Autel IM608 vs. MaxiSys Pro MS908P/MaxiSys Elite 


Autel IM608 key programming function is MUCH better than Maxisys Elite/MS908P.
IM608 comes with a XP400 programmer to read/write MCU, EEPROM Chip, IC card, key frequency etc. But Maxisys does not.
Maxisys Elite could program the ECU of Benz and BMW, and have ECU coding function.
IM608 only could ECU code (ECU coding), could not program ECU of cars.
Both tools have trust and sustainability. Thus, if you are focus on key programming, go for IM608 instead.
