 Autel MaxiIM IM508S/IM608 II as well as KM100 released new Toyota and Lexus Immobilizer software on Dec. 30th, 2024. IM508 and IM608 will receive the same update later.

All keys lost function were removed from North American devices.

For other regions, if 2025 Toyota/Lexus model has the same system as 2024/2023 model, Autel can do all keys lost as well.

Autel IM608 Toyota “New Key Registered” Solution

 Problem:

Programmed a smart key into a 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross using Autel IM608 II, and it works fine but when you get in the car to start it, it says “new key registered, contact dealer”. But it works fine and is registered correctly in the system. How I can delete it?

The error happens on new Toyotas often.  This is normal on all new Toyota.

Drive it for a while/a couple of days/weeks, it will go away!!!

It’s part of the Toyota security and the key needs to be linked with Toyota.

 

That’s some of the new features in Toyota to let the owner know that there is a new key programmed to the car in case you did not approve a new key and someone made a copy while you were not there. If all works fine and there is no codes it should go away in a few start cycles.

Autel IM608 II Unlock Renault Clio V Gateway Error Code 17?

 Problem:

Tried to program smart key for Renault Clio V 2020 with Autel IM608 II Pro. I purchased 2 tokens in the device. But still failed to unlock security gateway.

“Lock failed.

Error message: Response failed. Unable to obtain the key to unlock the gateway. Please contact customer service.

code=17 ”

Same as IM508S.

Here is the clue.

Due to some technical reasons, the Renault safety gateway unlock feature will no longer be supported from the Autel MaxiIM series.
If customers need to unlock the safety gateway, they can try alternative solutions, such as use Renault gateway bypass adapter or using the diagnostic function to unlock the gateway first, then proceed with the IM functionality.

The Renault gateway unlock token is only used to unlock security gateway to perform diagnostic functions (active test, special functions).

For Immobilizer functions, you need to hook up the Renault gateway adapter.

For 2019- Renault Clio V/Captur II, you can also remove HFM to read pin from dump using APB131 adapter.

How to Solve Autel IM608 II “Update GBOX Error”?

 Problem:

When I was using Autel IM608 II to program BMW and trying to update the G-BOX3, it failed and prompted:

“Update GBOX error! Press OK to retry. Otherwise, press Cancel.”

Here’s the error page, any ideas?

Solution

1. Power off and power on the Autel G-BOX3 again, reconnect the cables & engine module for reading more times. Try a few more times.

2. If the step1 does not work, please upload the data log for help.

How to Get VAG SFD Unlock Tokens for Autel Launch X431 ?

We are trying to reset maintenance lights. It’s an inspection light on a 2024 Audi Q7.
This goes for a lot of the newer model Volkswagen Audi’s.

In 2020, the Volkswagen Group (VAG) manufacturers introduced a procedure preventing unauthorized control module modifications – SFD (Vehicle Diagnostic Protection).

Here we show manul unlock SFD with Autel IM608 II. This works on many Autel scanners MS909/MS919/Ultra (a device that supports DoIP protocol).

 

We are going to connect the VIN number.Let it load and here is our issue.

Auto detect vehicle, and this one requires DOIP protocl.

Vehicle Diagnostic Protection (SFD) is not locked. Our challenge is to bypass/unlock the SFD security gateway.

We are going to deactivate it.

Select Deactivation>>Manually unlock SFD. It will take us to this menu.

We are going to need the VIN number. Copy the VIN.
Go to web browser, this site is called “vaglogins.com”.

Login or sign up.

Select “Tokens” to buy credits, and lowest amount is about 25 with each 1 euros.

Then select “Memberships” to buy a type by tokens,

After we get a membership, select “SFD generator”.

Paste your VIN to activate.

Copy “Unlocking request information” in Autel scanner and paste it in “Login request” on the website.

Select brand Audi, enter diagnostic address and select “Request SFD” to calculate SFD code.

Scroll down and select “Copy To Clipboard” to copy SFD calculation code.

Back to Autel IM608 II menu, select “Input token”.

Paste the code here.

Select “Unlock SFD”.

Select “Exit” to switch to Main menu.

Then we have 90 minutes to diagnose the vehicle.

To reset Maintenance light, go to Hot functions>>Oil reset>>Oil and ins service reset

Will Autel IM508 IM608 Unlock Renault Security Gateway?

 Will Autel KM100, MaxiIM IM508, IM508S, IM608, IM608 Pro and IM608 II unlock Renault gateway? It is a frequently asked question.

 

IM100: No, this tool cannot unlock Renault gateway.

MaxiIM IM508, IM508S, IM608, IM608 Pro: in the past, users can purchase tokens within the machine to unlock Renault gateway directly (check Autel Renault gateway FAQs).

Autel IM608 II Program 2021 Ford Range All Keys Lost

 How to program 2021 Ford Ranger blade key (old school 80bit) all keys lost with active alarm using Autel IM608 Pro II.

We’re working on a 2021 Ford Ranger it’s all keys lost with a key ignition using the autel im608 pro2.

It is active alarm.

Go right to Ford-> 2019-2022->Blade key->Control Unit-> Immobilizer->Immobilizer remote control learning

Alarm is active. Open the driver’s door with the door open use the screwdrivers to set the door latch to the closed and lock position.

Wait approximately 10 minutes until the vehicle makes double horn sound you have to hear the double horn be press okay.

We did that to disable the active alarm.

Select No not to clear all keys lost. Then add key with clearing.

Program a new key with Autel IM608 ii successfully.

Test the new key.
