Program Honda ID33 T5 All Keys Lost with Autel IM608

 Problem:

Doing a Honda UK 1998 id33/T5 chip all keys lost with Autel IM608. Autel asks to “use of the red learning key of the immobiliser control unit” as shown in the picture. What does it mean?

Here’s what the message means:
On older Honda models (like your UK 1998 with ID33/T5 chip), the immobilizer system was designed with a “red key” (sometimes called a master key or learning key).
The red key is not for everyday driving.
It is a special programming/master key supplied with the vehicle originally.

Its purpose is to put the immobilizer control unit (ICU) into learning/programming mode, allowing new black keys (regular transponder keys) to be registered.
Without this red key, the immobilizer will not accept or learn any new transponders when “all keys are lost.”

In short:
The Autel IM608/IM508 tool is telling you that you cannot continue key programming unless you have that original red master key.
Important notes for your case (Honda UK 1998, ID33/T5 chip):

If you don’t have the red key anymore (many owners lost it because it was not meant for daily use), you cannot add keys directly with diagnostic tools.
Your options are usually:

1. Replace or virginize the immobilizer control unit (ICU/ECU) and program new keys from scratch.
2. Use EEPROM/immobilizer dump programming with a programmer to add keys manually to the system.
3. Order a new ECU/ICU set with pre-programmed keys from Honda (very expensive).
So basically, the tool is saying:
“You need the red learning/master key to let me program new keys. If you don’t have it, we need to go another route (EEPROM, swap, or virginize).”

Pull immobilizer ring and eeprom a key in with autel.

 Autel has released a new update for the first time once again. This update adds the key programming function for BMW G series BDC3 immo system.

NOTE:

We still need to pay BMW G-chassis subscription to add BDC3 key.

It is getting immo from key not from BDC3 module. It is safer.

Need to add an Autel BMW ikey universal smart key.

The current function only supports adding keys for some BDC3 models, not all.
For keys with model years between 2020-2024 and the “Hungary” marking in the upper right corner, the success rate is higher.

Main steps to add BMW G Series BDC3 Key with Autel:

Go to Smart mode- scan BMW BDC3 immo module- select Add key function.

Step 1: Read vehicle info
Step 2: Read key data
This step requires disassembling the original key and reading data from original key.

There are 3 ways to connect the key board with xp400 pro:

1. Use the APB113 adapter (it is included in the IMKPA kit) to connect the key to the xp400 programmer.

2. Use a wiring harness to connect the key to the xp400 programmer.

3. Use a solder-free clip to connect the key to the programmer.

It is recommended to use the APB113 adapter for more stable data reading.

Then connect the apb113 adapter to the xp400 pro to read key data.

Step 3: Generate dealer key
This function only generates Autel BMW ikey.
Place the Autel BMW ikey to the coil of XP400 Pro like this.

Then start generating key.

Autel IM608 Cannot Read Benz W215 EIS Password Solution

 Problem:

Autel IM608 XP400 pro reads Mercedes Benz W215 EIS data with no problem but cant calculate password.
Try all connection methods via can via k line with g box without g box but no luck
How to read password for this type EIS?

Solution: 

Autel IM508/IM608 can’t read password for w220/215 via tablet/gbox.

Some of these w215 can only be done with eeprom on the board. If the board has 2 big 64 leg chips you will have to remove one and read data.

Way 1: 

Solder wires and read it with XP400pro. Eeprom mode only. Soldering by diagram for w215.

First, remove the back cover and unscrew the two bolts. Keep in mind that they are of different lengths; if you install them incorrectly during reassembly, you may damage the processor.
Next, check which processor you have and note whether it is a single processor or if the EZS has two processors. Some models may use the MC9S chip.
Then, go to the XP400Pro menu, navigate to the immo section, select Mercedes-Benz, find your chip, solder it, and read the Dflash.
After that, you can upload that data in Expert mode to retrieve your password, which will allow you to create a key file.

 

Way 2: 

Use other tool, sometimes you need to remove and read processor for that type of EIS.

Xhorse key tool plus will read password from W215 EIS with EZS/EIS adapter.

Autel IM608 Program 2023 Ford F-150 Key with APB131

 2023 Ford F-150 Aftermarket Key Successfully programmed using Autel IM608 Pro 2, XP400 and APB131 Cable.

BCM removed.
Wires Soldered.
Data Successfully Read.
Key Successfully Programmed.

2021 ford f-150 can’t be done by obd without take the BCM. Or easy with FDRS ($30 and no nastf required).

Program Mazda CX-5 2024 Smart Key by Autel IM508

 Anybody done a 2024 Mazda CX-5 Add key using Autel IM508? Does it need any additional equipment?

Here is the clue.

For CX-5 before 01/2022, Autel, OBDSTAR and SmartPro devices will add key without pin code.

For example:

2021 Mazda CX-30 new key added with autel im508s. It took around 15-20mins. Used aftermarket OEM looking key – no key error on cluster. Battery support required.

 

For 06/2022+, it depends if the software on the vehicle has been updated if car has been to dealer recently. Still 50/50.

If the car has not been updated at dealer,

Autel: Yes, Autel can do it. It will require incode/outcode. You should get a pin from NASTF and it would/may still leave the security light on.

When you use an Autel/Xhorse universal key will have the immo light on unless you copy the key ID from the working key. A cheap aftermarket key will cause the light also. Use OEM only. Also make sure you maintain the battery while programming.

Smart Pro:

According to Silca SmartPro can do it. smart pro bypass the incode on 2023. They have listed it up to 2024. 2024 model you still need to get the pin code.

OBDSTAR:

OBDSTAR G3 now supports both add key and all keys lost for 2018-2024 CX-5, requiring pin code.

Example: OBDSTAR G3 program CX-5 2024 all keys lost via OBD.

If the car has done dealer updates, do it with MDRS dealer software and pin with NASTF.

If it is 2024 Mazda CX-90, it is similar to CX-30. It should be done via MDRS with pin code.

 

There is another way to make a new key to CX-5 if it has ID6A proximity key. You can clone 6A smart key using Xhorse key tool max.

It works. but the safe way is to clone an aftermarket key to xhorse XM38 smart key, not clone original key to xhorse key.

Autel IM608 2020 Range Rover Remote Start Not Working Solution

 Problem:

Tried to program all keys lost on 2020 Range Rover Evoque with Autel IM608, replaced RFA with new genuine module and 2 new genuine keys. Everything successfully programs but keys not working for remote start or lock/unlock. Intermittent code saying initial configuration not complete??

Solution:

1. The RFA needs to be configured online with JLR Pathfinder/Topix (dealer-level software).
This downloads the correct as-built data from Jaguar Land Rover servers and writes it to the module.
Without this step, the car doesn’t “trust” the new RFA fully.

2. After successful configuration, erase codes and re-learn the keys if needed.

3. Only after this, remote lock/unlock and remote start will function.

Autel IM608 Adds 2024 Nissan Rogue Key with 40 PIN Cable

 User feedback:

It’s a 2024 Nissan Rogue.
Add a spare smart key with Autel IM608.
Bypass cable workd. Use the Nissan 40 pin bypass cable.
Even gave me the 28 digit code.

Autel IM608 Program 2025 Nissan Kicks Smart Key with APB131 and CAN FD Adapter

 Here is the user's working experience on Nissan Kicks 2025 smart key programming using Autel IM608. 

2025 Nissan Kicks smart key WITHOUT Consult4! 

First try: IM608+ 40 PIN Cable + APB131 adapter.

When I first came to the vehicle I extracted the pin code within the HFM via eeprom, but I didn’t realize that there is no OBD communication even with the Nissan 40 bypass cable and so was not able to program the extra remote.

This time I came more prepared, I had wiring diagrams of the body control module to pinpoint where the CAN pins are. I realized this vehicle has both Can and CanFD pins and probed both pairs separately. 

When hope began to run dry success struck!

The combination that worked was probing the low speed canH and canL while also having the Autel CANFD adapter connected AND going through 2024+ Pathfinder.

So, extract PIN via eeprom, and then connect the Autel's CANFD adapter's CAN H+L pins directly to the vehicles CAN H+L lines, instead of thru the OBD (used a chrysler bypass cable for the CAN probes, bypassing firewalls), and attempt process selecting Pathfinder 24.

It has also been verified that consult3+ does NOT connect to the vehicle or pull the vin number.

It doesn’t say it reads code. Autel has always been able to do them when you get the code from 3rd party.
They added the programming function for newer models till 2025, you will still have to get pin code from 3rd party.
It’s always just been easier to use sps2
and the 2 hour wait is still there with code from 3rd party.

Autel IM608 Not Detect Valid VVDI BE Key Solution

 Problem:

Every time I need to insert the Benz BE key Autel IM608 tells me invalid key. I tried 3 different Xhorse VVDI BE keys (yellow board).  Even changed xp400 pro same situation.

Error “The current key is detected to be invalid.”

Solution:

Some BE Key yellow board old version 3.2 come not properly soldered.
BUT the manufacturer is aware of the flaws. There is a new version V4.2 that fixes the issues.

 

Green and yellow new boards work perfectly normally, something else is the issue.

It seems that it’s your USB cable. Some users had a similar situation.

Change usb cable of the programmer. Use the original USB cable of the xp400 pro, it is enough.

Autel IM608 Nissan 40 PIN Cable Rogue 2023 Still Asks for PIN Code?

 Problem:

It’s a 2023 Nissan Rogue with new style smart key. The owner has one key but he want to get a second one added. Tried to add key with Autel IM608 and 40 pin bypass cable from OBDSTAR but it still asks for the 28 digit pin code. Have the 40 pin cable wired to the BCM and it’s connected to the OBD. How to obtain this PIN or bypass it?

Here is the clue.

Autel usually will bypass the 28-digit pin code for these models if you hook up the Nissan 40 PIN cable.

You got to do add key guided so it’ll read the PIN.

Try going back to the beginning and doing your steps like this.

(It seems like if you just hit the VIN icon, it takes you somewhere else.)

If Autel still asks for pin code, this model properly had a security update at the Dealer.

 

Some rogue models have had a security update done at Dealer. There is a bulletin out about a Nissan security update that the dealer does and can’t be done.

“Some 2023-2024 Infiniti/Nissan have experienced a security update. If you can analyze the key but it failed to read the data during the next step, that implies the vehicle has experienced a manufacturer’s security update that requires the Dealer tool for programming.”

Smart pro is good on these. People have done them with Smart pro.

But sometimes Smartpro fails, Autel works (see example).

 

If Autel and Smart Pro all fail, try

1). Remove HFM Module and read pin code from dump.

HFM module needs to be removed and you need to use APB131 to eeprom it and get password. Rogue above 2022 cannot do simply with 40 pin cable. You need eeprom and cable after 2022. HFM is located above glove box behind plastic trim. Remove and you will see it.

OBDSTAR will also read pin code from HFM dump with the RH850 adapter (see example).

 

2). Program key with Consult 3+ R2R by OBD.

2023 rogue is listed and has immo functions on consult 3+ r2r.

The Topdon rlink is listed as a compatible device on their website.

Consult 3 r2r doesn’t have immo functions unless it’s patched.

The immo function is blocked on consult 3+ r2r and you need use a patch to make it available. You have to pay for 1 day subscription download latest then patch.

It sucks because only a few models actually need Consult, and now they’re switching over to Consult 4—which doesn’t list Topdon as compatible.
