Autel IM508 Toyota RAV4 Smart Box Reset Failed Solution

 Problem:

I am doing a US Toyota RAV4 AKL smart box reset with Autel IM508, but it failed. What the solutions?

Read eeprom from smart key and make master key by dump. When I added the key it won’t work. Then I did reset it and tried to add key again still won’t. Bought a different new key now trying to reset it again then it failed.

Possible solution:

If reset was already done just add key. When your trying to add the key, if you are getting 1 or no beeps your key is the problem.

The first new key is a wrong key, or a faulty key. I just did one Highlander yesterday with apb112 and it went super smooth. Your simulator key works so there is nothing wrong that part, if it is a wrong key, it won’t take.

You have to buy NEW key, renewed key not work with this car. The problem is, even if you reset smartbox, it will not erase the old key id but only the number of key. (Only 2bit are changed in dump).

The second option is to buy new smartbox or find a REAL virgin dump from NEW smartbox.

 

NOTE:

Make sure to have correct key. They might have different ones. 8A chip is for 2012-2020..then some 2012 still use 4d70 chip..use diagnostic mode to do reset..or use apb112 if you got one.

 Today did a 2010 Toyota Highlander Hybrid US model all keys lost, push to start with Autel IM608. It is time to try xhorse XM38 remote and APB112. It is so easy, using guided process, backup eeprom, generating simulator key, then add xm38 proximity in.

WOW. Well done Autel. Little grieve is the xm38 doesn’t fit the toy48 emergency key every good. Had to squeeze in.

I have chip “answer error” on immobox temic sprinter 2002 with autel im608 pro, it is not the same photo in autel and vvdi prog, that of vvdi prog corresponds well to reality.

VPP2 is missing in your wiring.  this is wrong of the capacitor itself

How to Replace BMW EWS3 Module with Autel IM608 Pro?

 The BMW/mini Cooper EWS3 module is damaged and you would like to read date off the prossesor chip and then if you save it in bin file you could write data on to replacement ews3 module.

 

Autel IM608IM608 Pro with XP400 Pro have been confirmed to read and write EWS3 for replacement without issue. APB114 adapter in imkpa kit is required.

Can I use FCA SGW Autoauth with Autel IM608?

 Question: How can I use FCA SGW on Autel MaxiIM IM608IM608 Pro or IM508? Is it possible to have a SGW subscription? I have 12+8 cable but I don’t want to spend time searching for sgw location. I want to use fca authentication by obd.

 

Answer:

For diagnosis purpose Yes, you can bypass SGW thru AutoAuth, follow instructions to purchase license.

how can i activate SGW Bypass (diagnosis) for FCA group in my autel? It is the as other Autel tablets.

If you are on North America, you can register on Autoauth and add your tools for use on FCA cars, that’s not fca credentials. Also on Europe, Texa tools have his own login for fca cars without register on fca or use witech.

Autoauthh is only for diagnostics and you need internet. You will be able to erase codes, resets, special functions Etc. If you do diagnostics, then it’s worth the $50.

 

For Immobilizer function, it is a waste of time. No immo through OBD. AutoAuth doesn’t work for Key Programming/IMMO work. MaxiIM now can only unlock Renault gateway for immobilizer (Unlock Renault gateway).  Autel cannot bypass FCA immobilizer yet.

For 2018+ models, you will need 12+8 gateway adapter or Star cable (star cable bypasses the sgw connecting scanner to diagnostic CAN lines on the star connector).

You’ll always need a bypass cable to pull Pin’s and program keys.

Autel IM608 2013 Dodge RAM Key Not Start B1A0B Solution

 Here comes the problem:

I added a smart key ( after market) with autel im608 in my boss truck 2013 Dodge ram 1500 and it did work for 4 days. Today I added a new one ( also after market) and it worked for 3 hours. Scan systems and show the next code B1A0B-00… any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution:

Your problem is the key. It happened to me a couple of times already with unlocked and chinese keys.

This happens VERY often when using aftermarket or Universal keys. They often never lock and very often fail.

B1AOB Faulty Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) or The auto market key is defective, you should buy good companies like Xhorse or original.

You can use one from keydiy or XHORSE they work fine.

Just use a xhorse key will go straight in. But better use Oem and you can’t have any keys near when your programming the key.

That’s a very common problem on that model, 2013 have an issue about RFH module, every time you tried key lock and then after some starting process it will unlock, you can program a Xhorse key and it never unlock it again or you can update the RFH on Witech 2.0 this should fix the problem.

 It is very easy to clone ME 2.8 ecu instead of going through renew procedure.  It is a cylinder V6 ECU on a Mercedes w203. It runs on E-class it also runs on W163 module model, also the W164 for ML500.

Once you know exact IC is, you can read this particular chip down there instead of you going to pull out this chip.

The easiest way to do this is do a connection with the APB103 clip adapter.

Just have to place down and connect with the xp400 pro.

Follow the whole process below.  It is very very easy you just move to your Programmer.

Go to Go to Programmer function->Chip Function-> Chip Read & Write ->EEPROM->ST->ST95XXX-> ST95P08->EEPROM-> Read

search for the ST type of chip that’s the st, then you move down to this to select the xt95

so when you select this then watch it go EEPROM, you can read it now

We need to write this time.  Now i go to that exact file i saved and that is it.

How to Repair BMW FRM Module with Autel IM608Pro? (New Method)

Previously when I used Autel to repair BMW FRM, it would not read corrupted D-flash. The only way I could repair FRM was to search online for matching EEPROM and P-FLASH files and write them to FRM. With recent updates the Autel will now read D-FLASH and convert to working eeprom.  Exactly easy job now. 


BMW FRM module repair with Autel IM608 pro.
Symptom (no light, no windows, no wipers, delay light stays on…and no communication with this module’s diagnostic tool (FRM).
1 locate and disassemble.
2 open and exit of the pcb
3 follow the instructions of im608pro (program / read write chip / body repairs)
4 make the connections according to the instruction diagram (solder or needles)
5 follow the instructions to repair the FRM
6 reassemble the module in the vehicle
7 if necessary code the module so that it corresponds to the vehicle
8 carry out tests
9 check the fault codes and the coding
10 work succeeds

No need to search & download eeprom bin file if it’s not a hardware problem. Just repair the corrupted file with im608. It is very simple.

I’ve done loads by reading the dflash, generating the eeprom data, repartitioning the dflash emulated eeprom and then writing the eeprom. No need ever to recode/reconfigure anything.
