Autel IM608 Failed to Program 2021 Jeep Wrangler Key Solution

 Problem:

I'm using the Autel im608 and the FCA bypass cable in a 2021 jeep wrangler Sahara I can read the pin but when I try to program the key it's failed.. any advice?

Using the OEM key fob.

Solution & Feedback:

The problem was the vehicle battery.. even when it was in 12.54 volts... it wasn't enough... I used my vehicle to keep it above 14V. And it did work.

Had the same exact thing happen on a 22 durango. it was at my buddies shop and he had been doing other work to it so he just randomly put it on the charger and it worked.

If not working, try disconnect the battery and reconnect so it happened to me I didn't want to program and disconnect the battery one or 2 min and it was revealed.

Program Honda Civic 2022 Key by Autel IM608

 There are some success and failure key programming stories of Honda Civic/Accord 2021+ with Autel IM508/IM608.

 

Some had safety check failed issue when trying to add a spare key or doing all keys lost.

Error “Safety check failed. Turn off the ignition”.

Here’s the tip to program key for Honda Civic/Accord new system with old style key.

If you program an old system with the new protocol it will brick the bcm. It’s because there are new 2022 cars that use the old key as well as 2021. To fix the bricked BCM you need to replace it, code it, and program new keys.

How to avoid bricking a BCM?

There’s a bulletin on this issue with Honda, using aftermarket tools to program new honda key type. If the system as If it’s a new system…you should say NO instead of yes! The BCM wouldn’t Brick!

The problem is when you try to program a 2020 or newer vehicle that still uses the old key system. The programmer asks you if the car is 2020 or newer. If you select yes it thinks the car is on the new key system. If the car you are working on still uses the old system you now have bricked the and are buying a BCM.  If “NO” is selected, regardless of the model year, the key fob registration will be successful. 

You could tell by if the car uses the older style key or new style key. New style key new system. Old style key old system.

*If its the old style proximity yes but make sure you don’t say yes to the new system. if it’s the new style prox then im608 will brick the BCM . HDS is what everyone is using for the new style proximity.

It’s because there are new 2022 cars that use the old key as well as 2021. If the car auto-selects by vin it will automatically select it as the new system. So it’s best to do manual selection if the vehicle uses the only key click the response that it’s before 2020.

If it uses the new style then you can click that it’s after 2020. Rather it’s xtool or autel. That’s why some people had no issues.  If old key design then select No, he will succeed.

The only key that will work is xhorse universal. You will still have dash lights but the car will run. It did not take Autel ikey universal.

Autel IM508 Program 2019 Dodge Challenger Key via Ikey

Programmed an Autel Universal Smart Key to a 2019 Dodge Challenger without using any bypass cables on my Autel im508. First time trying this and it worked flawlessly.
Just Auto Auth. I was just doing an add a key. First time doing using an Autel key so just wanted to try it.

Just generated the universal smart key with the im508, and then plugged into the car using Auto Auth and was able to talk right through the security gateway. I had doubts but it worked perfectly. All I did was add a key. It wasn’t an all-keys lost job.

Not all immo functions are available when using AutoAuth. Aka you will at some point need to physically bypass it using the cables.

In my case I don’t need any bypass cables if you register your device with AutoAuth.

Just went to autoauth.com and signed up. You have to pick a plan. The basic plan is $50 per year. Once you get your username and password you enter that into your device.

Program Renault Clio V 2021 Key with Autel IM608

 After the latest updates, Renault Clio V 2021 flip key model was tested and the vehicle was successfully programmed by Autel IM608/IM508. There are 2 ways to program.

Let’s get started.

Example: VW Golf 6 cluster instrument NEC23C64 all keys lost on bench with gbox, put polo to cable.

Select IMMO-> VW-> Expert Selection-> Immo IV Instrument CAN->VDO+ NEC24C64->Enter Service Mode All Keys Lost (G-box)

Immo data will be directly read after performing this operation.

Check wiring diagram in im608. Make a GND needle by yourself.

Connect the GND wire of the g-box.

Operation completed.
Disconnect the ground wire of the G-box from the contact.

Start reading immo data

Read CS, PIN, MAC etc, save immo data.

Then select Make Dealer Key function

Place a black key/chip into the key slot of the programmer and press OK

Generate dealer key successfully

Then perform learn key.
