Is it Necessary to Buy the Autel KM100?

 Question: 

Is the Autel KM100 a must have? I currently ham an IM608 pro, but wonder if cloning transponders is less effort than adding them separately.

Answer:

Autel last update on im608/im508 xp400 gave you a universal key option. Then you already have the ability of the km100. You can do all the same Key generation with the XP400.

KM100 can do the remotes with remote starter. It’s not a must, but it does reduce the amount of FOBs you have to carry.

It’s good having more than one tool we do like about km100 not having to take out the bulk autel 608 out to program.

Sometimes the best option is to clone a chip. Clone a chip and then you don’t have to add a key using a scanner. Sometimes the system of a car will not accept any more keys but a cloned key does not add another key. There are so many situations that can happen. Chip cloning will save you lots of time and some cars it’s just beat to clone it.

If you have a tight budget you could get the xhorse mini key tool for 200 dollars cheaper.

Autel IM608 Cannot Read Corrupted BMW FRM data?

 Question:

I’m trying to reset the BMW FRM module 3m25j with Autel IM608 XP400, data got corrupted there’s no data.

Error Partition is zero and data is null.

I could only get the Pflash read.

I’m in need of an EPROM file and Dflash if possible

Solution:

The data is still there, the im608 just refuses to read the corrupt partition.

If you read dflash with xprog or vvdi prog, you can very easily extract the eeprom data, FULLY INTACT.

This really annoyed us with im608.

Vvdi prog is the best so far.

You pull the smart box. You do the backup with the gbox. Then you use the apb112 to generate a key with the existing file. And that allows you to turn the car on to add the new key. only for smart keys. This is all to avoid the incode outcode.  The AUTEL will instruct you when and how to connect the Gbox.

Autel IM608 File Version Error Code 4096 Solution

 The problem goes like this:

2009 VW Golf all keys lost. Failing with Autel im608 xp400 via OBD2. Tried make key via dump. Reads data but fails to write. IM608 says file version error 4096. Chip type is 24C32. Also failed on Honda Accord 24C04 2002. Any help appreciated.

Possible reasons and solutions:

1). Network connection. Make sure you have a strong wifi connection.

2). Read and verify data again, if failed to read via clip adapter, desoldering chip. Many clip adapters will read but when loading to OBD programmer will say wrong file version. Much better to desolder chip. This happens to xhorse devices as well. 

3). Wrong menu.

With that golf try via immo and there key from dump. Have similar with cas3++ dump, with same error from menu key via dump or programmer. But from immo, BMW and load from dump it was smooth.

4). Some models cannot write key start via dump.

Autel IM608 Read BMW CAS3+ ISTAP 32-Digit ISN

 Here comes the problem:

I am working on a BMW C6 CAS3++ ISTAP all keys lost. Program is asking for DME ISN and Autel is only reading 4-digit isn which I have read via OBD and got ISN code 86F5.

But Autel IM608 is asking for 32bit value for ISN.

Any idea how to convert this or it there another way to red ISN from engine ECU.

Solution:

BMW Explorer can calculate SK from short ISN. Autel cannot.  You can bench EDC17’s with Autel.

Some CAS+ uses short ISN (i.e X5 CAS3+).  CAS3+ istap isn is much longer.

That ECU is EDC17CP02. You can read ecu type by ecu number.

How to bench read CAS3++ istap 32-digit ISN by im608 (im508 xp400 pro)?

Go to IMMO- BMW- Engine- Direct

Then check Quick entrance

Identify ECU type by input 10 digits bosch ECU number

Select EDC17CP02 TC1766

Check the operation guide and wiring diagram

Bench it and follow prompts to read 32-digit ISN code.

Autel IM508 Subaru Impreza 2019-2021 AKL with APB112

 Problem:

I have a 2019 turn key Subaru Impreza wrx US built all keys lost, tried to use autel im508 with the apb112 on an H chip, said not supported, any ideas?

 

Solution:

It works. follow the prompts.

Read immo data save it then use the apb112 simulator

Tips to program 2019 to 2021 Subaru kl Impreza/Crosstrek bladed key all keys lost.

Just read the eeprom, save it, load it onto the apb112.

Turn on ignition with tin foil around the key you cut and the apb112 next to it. Verify you did it right if the car can start.

Do a all keys lost then add your keys… Profit, hopefully, rinse and repeat.

 Took me a few tries to figure out the procedure, but here it is successfully done 2015 Jeep renegade all keys lost with the Autel MaxiIM IM508 XP400 Pro.

How to Solve Autel IM608 Error Code 10008?

 Here comes the working solution to Autel MaxiIM IM508 or IM608 network problems, including

1) Network busy, try again later

2) Failed to obtain the server addresses, Error code 10008

Cause:

DNS failure, check your DNS settings.

The DNS domain IP address is not allowing it to access autel server.

Solution:

To fix this problem. You can do as follows:

1. Go to Autel Maxiim IM608 system settings:

Long press the connected network and Click “Modify network”

2..Check the advanced option, select “Static”

3.Change DNS 1 IP address to 8:8:8:8 which is google server by default

4. Click “Save” to save the setting

After that, Autel IM608 will connect to the Autel update server normally and you can download the update normally now.
