Autel IM608 APB131 Adapter Renault Menu

 Question:

I got the Autel Apb131 adapter for im608 pro, but cannot see Renault pin by dump, have version 5, i can see Nissan menu but not CLIO5 or capture.

Where can I find the menu?

Autel IM508 Read VAG MQB RH850 R7F01402 with APB131

 We already shown how to read a VW MQB V850 D70F2426 cluster with Autel IM508 XP400 and APB131 adapter.  Here we will guide you to readVAG MQB RH850 5A cluster with Autel (IM508/IM608 with XP400 or Pro) and APB131.

 

Select  MQB instrument cluster->RH850 Locked (via dump)->R7F01402->Read flash data from programmer

Need to solder 6+2  wires to the cluster with APB131 wire harness. No components to remove. No pin lifting. With Xhorse you do need to remove some capacitors, Autel does not need. It is easier.

Connect the XP400 Pro to the APB131 adapter and the module with reference to the method shown in the feature.

Connect the XP400 Pro to the 12V DC power adapter and check if the indicator lamp of the XP400 Pro is green.

 

Reading flash data. It’s going to take between 5 and 30 minutes. It is pretty quick.

Autel IM608 BMW FEM Version is Not Supported Solution

 Sometimes you will get SWFL version not supported error when programming BMW keys for FEM/BDC system using Autel IM508/IM608.

For example:

This is 2016 BMW F chassis. Usually, straightforward making keys on BMW reading the EEPROM with IM608 but this time getting this problem.

Here is the working solution.

 

1). How to check your current BMW FEM/BDC version? Check if current version is supported or not

Go to IMMO >>  BMW >> Automatic selection >> Read >> Control unit >> FEM/BDC Immobilizer >> Vehicle information

Here we can check the software information.

Escape to enter into “Special function >> Version detect”.

It says: “The current ECU software version is supported”.

Once we see this message, we can continue with key programming process. We shouldn’t run into any hiccups.

If FEM/BDC version is not supported, just update FEM/BDC and try again. Upgrade & it’ll work.

2). How to Update BMW FEM/BDC Version?

Follow the steps.

Go to System Selection->Immobilizer System->FEM/BDC Immobilizer->Programming operation->ECU upgrade to update to a supported version and then retry.

This process requires a network connection for data acquisition. Check the network settings to ensure a connection to Wi-Fi and maintain the network connection during the process.

The current ECU software version is supported and no ECU upgrade is required.

So if it wasn’t supported, you’ll go to this programming or upgrade process. This may take about 8–10 minutes. Then it’ll upgrade to a supported version so that you can process with key programming.

The ECU upgrade is used for upgrade programming for ECU. It solves the problem that some software version of FEM/BDC are not supported.

FYI: Autel IM608 only supports up to F chassis so if is G chassis you want to be able to make it.

Autel, AVDI or Smart Pro for Vauxhall Vivaro Traffic All Keys Lost?

 Which tools do 2015-2017 Vauxhall Vivaro/ Traffic all keys lost,  Lonsdor, Autel IM508/IM608, Smart Pro or AVDI?

Lonsdor all keys lost not working.
Lonsdor don’t do all keys lost on Vivaro/Trafic 3 (same as Renault Trafic) with key.

 

Autel, AVDI and SmartPro will do via OBD.

Be careful on Autel on all keys lost as a few have been killed, internal dongle error, vehicle cranks a few times then nothing, remote works, avdi can repair the internal dongle error. AVDI for those as it has a repair function if UCH gets corrupted.

For example: Renault Trafic 2016 went for body work in the garage and key was lost / AKL ,  made a key with Autel IM608 and Van is cranking but not starting – remote is working.
DTC in UCH / dtc9568 – dongle system internal failure.

When bricked the common scenario is the remote works, but engine has a crank that doesnt sound right , cranks so many times then stops , after a short time it will crank and stop again , normally in bcm you will see dongle error fault.

Other things will also brick it even with the tools that are safest to use on them most commonly when no battery support maintaining over 13v has been used for the key programming procedure , and when the vehicle has a donor unit such as airbag module or abs module fitted , during key programming procedure the uch sees the missmatched unit and bricks vehicle, it is essential all vins match in all all units for key programming to be safe.. so as airbag unit is not seen this may lead to such a scenario.

Best machine on these all keys lost is Smart pro for speed and safety as makes no change , next best is avdi, a lot of machines do spares but not all keys lost.

Use battery support to maintain over 13v throughout, people normally maintain 13.8v throughout.

Make sure you scan all units prior to coding a key to ensure vin number matches up in all units, its common to see a doner ABS or airbag unit on these with a different vin number in them, if it has a 2nd hand unit all works fine, but as soon as you do key programming van shuts down with errors due to mismatched units and its trip to dealer or tool like avdi to fix it.

 

Smart pro does all keys lost without issue on Traffic and Vivaro models , and in around 3 minutes, its never failed us on models to end of 2017.

smart pro did fail on a 68 plate ( late 2018 model ) to do a spare key , a warning appeared stating unknown software version and if you proceed you do so at your own risk as damage is possible, you can switch to avdi. I suspect there’s a software change on some 2019 models that SP hasn’t cracked as yet , so it warns you of this and leaves it up to you if you back out or not.

A lot choose not to use Autel on Traffic and Vivaro akl for 2015 onwards models, too many have gone wrong, some user error due to doner units and lack of battery support, but not all, as we have better more reliable tools in avdi and smart pro for these models, but autel is tool of choice on some makes and model, all programmers have their strengths and weaknesses , their bugs and their fails , each tool does something better than the next tool.

 

smart pro is safest as it makes no changes to any modules in the vehicle so theres not alot can go wrong on these , if theres a potential issue it warns you so you can back out , it also guides you to apply battery support and to do a battery reset if opened by remote prior to key programming , so guides you step by step , avdi too as avdi can fix any problems that occur most others cant including smart pro , so its the safest tool because it doesnt make changes to any unit so less to go wrong , and if a software version they havnt cracked yet it warns you so you can back out with no damage , thus the safest tool for those without the kit and knowledge to fix the internal dongle error etc.

though now avdi can fix the internal dongle error, it is also safe but not as quick as smart pro.

avdi can also rewrite the correct vin and data to used abs and airbag units if a doner unit is fitted with different vin.

so if your autel im608 pro or lonsdor kills it, then as long as you have or know someone who has avdi and the relevent licence then they can fix this for you with avdi even when another machine has created the issue , which makes it a very useful tool.

but all tools rely on adequate battery support maintaining at least 13v and matching vins in all modules, thus the need to add battery support and scan and check vin in all units before key programming , i use abrites vin reader , takes a minute or 2 to scan all units and verify vin in each also checks stolen vehicle databases, and you dont need to have an avdi to use abrites vin reader , its a dongle that works on its own linked to your mobile phone.

Read VW Golf MK7 MQB IMMO Data with Autel IM508 and APB131

The new Autel APB131 adapter can do a lot of things. Here we will show how to read VAG MQB V850/RH850 cluster with Autel IM508 or IM608 XP400 Pro and APA131 cable.
This dashboard we have is out of 2014 VW Golf MK7.

We’re going to start off with the Expert Selection in the Volkswagen.

Select MQB instrument cluster->V850 Locked (via dump)

This function should be used in combination with an XP400 Pro Programmer and APB131 adapter.
Strictly follow the wiring diagram for wiring operations as chip data reading involves certain risks.
Select Processor D70F3426.
Select Read Flash data via Programmer.

Check wiring diagram. There are 3 different dashboards.
Zoom in a bit. We have 8 wires to connect. No components to remove. No pin lifting.

We can also read this same dashboard with vvdi key tool plus and RH850 cable.  You actually have to remove 4 of these tiny little capacitors. With Autel you do not need to remove any. Some other dashboards do require remove capacitors.

All these connections are very easy to do.
1.Connect the XP400 Pro to the APB131 adapter and the module with reference to the method shown in the feature.

2.Connect the XP400 Pro to the 12V DC power adapter and check if the indicator lamp of the XP400 Pro is green.

Made a connection and got all the wires soldered it on. Got the XP400 Pro plugged in.

We got the power just make sure that all these extra little wires that we don’t need to connect not touching the circuit board.

Reading flash data. It’s going to take between 5 and 30 minutes. It is pretty quick.

Then save flash data.

Then we also have to read this eeprom 95128 data. The eeprom belongs on the circuit board just above the MCU which we are reading the flash out.

Remove these in order to get a good read from them.

We need to connect APB129 adapter to read the eeprom. It does not take long and with a bit of practice, it’s not hard.

Save eeprom data.

Then select Calculate immo data.

Need to upload both flash and eeprom data to decode immo data.

Decode immo data successfully.

Then save the decoded data. You will get CS code, power class, key IDs.  You can see the two key IDs that are stored.

You can perform Make dealer key and learn key. If you are doing all keys lost, you would still need to purchase the sync data.

Click on Make dealer key. Autel IM508/IM608 will ask do you you have an original key. obviously, if you click yes it’s going to say put the original key into the programmer and press okay and

then if you haven’t got an original key then you’ll click no and it will just simply ask you for the sync data.

You can manually enter the synchronization data. Then you will be able to create your dealer key and then hit up your key learning section,

The Autel APB131 cable is pretty impressive and does not have to remove any components, a lot safer, very quick to connect up read and calculate the immo data.
