Autel IM508 Failed to Program Opel Corsa D Key Solution

 Problem:

One of our customers had a problem with Opel Corsa D 2008 1.2 all keys lost. He managed to program an Xhorse XT27 chip. Autel IM508 read through password and when try to add key, its start learning the key, after that it’s show an error 22. Also tried xhorse key tool max pro. They pull the same password but can not add key.

Possible reason and solution:

Error 22 means your using the wrong key. Xhorse key is PCF7946 you need PCF7941.

Use OEM or aftermarket PCF7941. Better use OEM key. vvdi super chip xt27a or KD remote is not working.

Don’t mix it up with the Astra H/Zafira B pcf7941, as remotes are different. Though they look exactly the same.

The same looking keys can be found with different integated immobilizers.

PCF7941: Corsa D (different key from Astra H)
PCF7946 Vectra V, Signum

Use the correct key and it will work.

Autel IM508 Failed to Read Opel Corsa D PIN Code Solution

 Problem:

Vauxhall Corsa D 2010. Add Key. Autel IM508 is failing to read the password. Any solution?

Solution:

Go into Control Unit you have more options to read the pin!

You can pull it from the BCM or from the radio with the same IM508/608.

Read from BCM, try from radio as your last option, if radio changed probably will have different pin and may put car in locking mode.

Read from Bcm takes about 30 seconds. From radio takes about 5 seconds to read. Make sure it’s switched on.

Autel Website Removed IM508 Vehicle Coverage List?

 Some users noticed on the  Autel website when selecting “supported vehicles” the info has changed. No longer have Autel KM100/IM508/IM608 on the list and when choosing vehicles icons are gone and you get a list of every function.

It’s on the machine itself now! They removed key programming listings for KM100/IM508/IM608.

How to check vehicle coverage for these devices?

Option 1: You can view it directly on your tablet.

Option 2: Autel will generate PDF vehicle model lists for KM100/IM508/IM608.

Option 3: Or use OTOFIX website.

If you switch to the otofix coverage lookup for the otofix im2 immo it’s like the 508/608’s old lookup still.

Generate VW Golf 7 2017 MQB Key with Autel IM508 and iKey

 In this guide, we will walk through the process of generating an MQB48 key for a 2017 Volkswagen Golf 7 instrument cluster using Autel IM508. This method involves repurposing an Autel key into a functional Golf 7 key using a universal key generation tool.

Step-by-Step Process

1. Accessing the Key Generation Menu

• Navigate to the “Universal Key” section and select “Accept.”

• Choose “Europe” as the region and locate Volkswagen in the manufacturer list.

2. Selecting the Correct Model and Platform

• Select “Golf” as the model and set the year to 2017.

• Confirm the platform as MQB.

• The system will display the MQB48 key profile, which operates at 434 MHz with an IMMO type of MQB.

3. Preparing the Donor Key

• Insert the donor key (in this case, an Autel universal ikey) into the programming device.

• Visually verify that the key matches the MQB48 design (as shown on the tool’s reference image).

4. Generating the Key

• Select “Generate Universal Key” to begin the process.

• The tool will flush the XP400 and start programming the key.

• Monitor the progress until completion (approximately halfway, a confirmation message will appear).

5. Verifying the Key

• Once generated, the system will prompt: “Universal key generation is completed. Do you want to continue generation?” Select “No” to finish.

• Test the key by inserting it into the Golf 7’s instrument cluster and reading the chip.

• Confirm that the key is recognized as MQB48 and operates at 434 MHz.

Autel IM608 Program 2021-2024 Toyota Sienna All Keys Lost

 This guide demonstrates how to perform an all-keys-lost procedure on a 2021-2024 Toyota Sienna with the new security system 8A-BA type. Using the Autel IM608 and 30-pin cable, we’ll bypass the factory PIN code requirement and program a new key—including fixing the common remote not working issue after programming.

 

Here we use Xhorse XD8ABAGL Toyota 30 pin cable.

NOTE: Toyota all keys lost function was removed in the US region. But it still works for other regions.

Step-by-Step Procedure

1. Access the Smart Key Box

• Location: Behind the glove box (passenger side).

• Steps:

  1. Remove the glove box trim (three 10mm bolts + clips).

  2. Unbolt and lower the glove box assembly.

  3. Locate the Smart Key Control Unit (black box with wiring harness).

2. Connect the Autel IM608

• Bypass OBD & Use Direct Wiring:

  • Disconnect the factory harness from the Smart Key box.

  • Plug in the Xhorse Toyota 30 pin cable (compatible with Autel):

    • The J3 end → Smart Key box (CAN Low, CAN High, 12V, Ground).

    • Other end → Autel IM608 interface.

3. Backup Immobilizer Data

1. In Autel IM608:

   • Select Toyota > Sienna > Smart Key Control Unit.

   • Choose “Keyless System (CAN)”

   • Choose “Backup EEPROM Data.”

2. Save the backup file (critical for bypassing the PIN code later).

4. Generate a Simulator Key

1. Connect the APB112 Emulator to the Autel.

2. Select “Generate Analog Key” and load the backup file.

3. The emulator will create an emulator key to start the programming process.

5. Program a New Key

1. Reconnect the factory harness to the Smart Key box.

2. In Autel:

   • Go to “Add Key” and use the saved EEPROM file.

   • Ignition ON with the emulator key.

   • Present the new physical key to the ignition button.

3. Issue: The car may start, but the remote won’t work yet.

6. Fix the Remote (Steering Lock Handshake)

• Why It Happens: New Siennas require a security handshake between the steering lock module and ECU.

• Solution:

  1. In Autel:

     • Go to Diagnostics > Toyota > Automatic selection- Decode VIN > Radar Cruise.

     • Navigate to:
       Hot Functions > Immobilizer & Keys > Smart Key > “ECU Communication ID Registration.”

  2. Perform the steering lock/ECU handshake.

  3. Turn ignition OFF/ON and test the remote.
