Autel IM508 Failed to Read Toyota CHR 2021-2023 IMMO Data Solution

Problem:

It also happens on 2021-2023 Toyota CHR with 8A proximity key. It’s all keys lost situation, tried AKL smart box reset using Autel IM508S but failed. The smart box has 27 PIN connector so the 30 PIN cable will not fit.

Tried with gbox3 on bench, get message informing that this software version number is not supported.

“The current smart main ECU software version number is not supported.
Version number: 8999AF4120010101”

Solution:

IM608 and IM508 don’t able to read latest tmlf15-3 smart box. Software version does not support.

Use other programmers. Autel does not support this version on smart key module.

If you use Autel for this, need to go straight to key learning , to get Incode/outcode pin code request procedure (buy 12-digit PIN).

Use Lonsdor K518 Pro , AVDI or Smart Pro.

Lonsdor K518 Pro: Try to back up immo data via OBD. If fails to back up immo data via OBD, back up data via ADP15 adapter. Generator emergency key than use immo data to program new key.

Smart Pro: use a Smart Pro with the key emulator adapter.
